Walking alongside families

We walk alongside — not ahead — helping families find stability, support, and community.

Karibu Pamoja Foundation

Karibu (“Welcome”) and Pamoja (“Together”) reflect our belief that healing and progress happen when people feel truly seen and supported. We help adults and families navigate major life changes — from serious illness to job loss — by connecting them with resources, guidance, and community. Our approach is grounded in dignity, clarity, and compassion.

Grounded in dignity, clarity, and compassion.
Together in Unity, Together in Hope.
No family should walk alone.
Where compassion meets action — hope multiplies.

Standing Together

We walk with families through life’s hardest transitions, offering support and encouragement so no one feels alone. Karibu (“Welcome”) and Pamoja (“Together”) reflect our belief that healing happens when people feel truly seen and supported. From illness to job loss, we help adults and families find resources, guidance, and community—grounded in dignity, clarity, and compassion.

Hope and Community

Together we transform challenges into hope and resilience. Every year, countless families in our community face sudden hardships—illness, job loss, caregiving, and more.

Too often, they feel lost and isolated. We exist to fill that gap with clarity, compassion, and community, ensuring no family walks alone.

Rooted in Experience

Our story began with lived experience. Damaris Waiyaki, our founder, is a medical social worker who has guided countless families through complex systems.

When her daughter was diagnosed with a rare childhood brain cancer at age seven, that journey became personal—fueling her mission to create Karibu Pamoja, her book One Moment At A Time: Strength in Faith, and a foundation built on resilience, courage, and never facing hardship alone.
